Donald Edward Stormer Sr, 93, of Lake Mary, FL, passed away on
Monday, December 19th, 2022. He was born March 20th, 1929. His wife,
Leona Johnson Stormer, his parents John and Neva Stormer formerly of
Celoron, NY, and his siblings; Mary Smith, Jack Stormer, Robert Stormer,
and Charlie Stormer, preceded him in death.
Donald grew up in the Jamestown area and attended Celoron School. He
served in the US Navy from 1946-1949 and was recalled for the Korean
War from 1950-1952 and served again from 1963-1964.
Donald and his wife, Leona were married in 1949. They were married 67
years. He and Leona lived on a family farm in Kiantone, where they raised
their children: Donald (Janel) Stormer Jr., David Stormer and Myck
Stormer. Their farm was a focal point of hard work and much fun, where
no friend or neighbor ever went hungry and every kid always had a
popsicle. They moved to Florida in 1979.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He
enjoyed bowling every week until his death. His last game was a 170.
Donald is survived by his three children; five grandchildren; Amy Vezina,
Sara Zampogna, Cody Stormer, Aaron Stormer and Timothy Stormer; his
great-grandchildren; Everly Vezina, Ellery Zampogna, Jaxon Stormer,
Wyatt Stormer, and Hudson Stormer; his sister, Shirley Boutelle and many
nieces and nephews.
