Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood is offering a $5,000 reward for a tip that leads to the arrest of an armed robbery suspect.

Law enforcement authorities are asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted for robbing a Volusia County gas station clerk at gunpoint this week.

On Monday, December 19, the suspect featured in this story robbed a Chevron gas station located at 1716 Ocean Shore Boulevard in Volusia County.

According to Volusia County Sheriff’s Office detectives, a masked suspect entered the station at around 9:47 p.m., brandished a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk on duty.

The clerk complied and the suspect left.

The suspect is believed to be a white male. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a bandana over his face.
