Husband kills wife, attempts to kill woman before committing suicide in Orlando home

A husband killed his wife and attempted to kill another woman before committing suicide at their Orlando home this weekend.

Jagdesh Kissoonchand, 52, and his wife, Indira, were found dead in their home in the 7500 block of Fordham Creek Lane by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Sunday, January 1.

A woman in her 20s, who was not identified by police due to Marsy’s Law, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and rushed to the hospital. She is in stable condition and expected to recover.

According to police, deputies responded to reports of gunshots at around 1:07 a.m. Upon arrival, the woman in her 20s was located and transported to the hospital. When deputies entered the home, they found Mrs. Kissoonchand suffering from a gunshot. She was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

While inside the home, deputies also found the body of Mr. Kissoonchand, who appeared to be dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities say there were no calls to service for the address in the past, and that Mr. Kissoonchand had no history of violence or background of any kind.
