David was an amateur farmer growing different crops over the years and giving lawn mower rides to his little granddaughter. He was a woodworker and make beautiful lawn ornaments, teddy bear swings, and whirly gigs to catch the wind. An avid golfer, he loved to swing his club and enjoyed playing golf games on his computer in the last several years of his life.

A dedicated Christian man, David believed in the healing grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and rejoiced in His name. He was known by his friends and family as having a funny sense of humor, giving great bear hugs, rolling up his sleeves to help a neighbor, and always sharing a smile.

David is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty, and his two children, Rick and Pamela. He is survived by his granddaughter, Amber, her children, David’s great-grandchildren, Logan and Lily, his dear friend Sam Smith, and his sweet dog, Gizmo.
