Sosa Family Cigar Company closing Disney Springs shop after 25 years in business

A mainstay at Disney Springs for over 25 years has closed up shop.

Sosa Family Cigar Company officially closed its doors at 1502 E Buena Vista Drive in Disney Springs on Monday, January 2.

Although no reason was given for the closure, the company says it will still operate a warehouse in south Florida for customers interested in purchasing their products.

“Our cigar shop at Disney Springs will be closing its doors on January 2nd. For our great customers that love our ‘handrolls,” we will continue to sell them out of our Miami warehouse,” reads a social media post by the company.

Established in March of 1997, the company became part of what was known as Downtown Disney at the time. Situated between Sunglass Icon and Salt & Straw, Sosa Family Cigar Company was only two months away from celebrating its 26th anniversary at the location.

In closing, it joins its former neighbor of 11 years, Something Silver, which closed over two years ago and was replaced by Salt & Straw.

To purchase some of the Sosa Family Cigar Company’s inventory, contact the Miami warehouse at 305-541-6400, or visit the Antillian Cigar Corporation website.
