A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the homicide of a 30-year-old man who was leaving his job at an I-Drive hotel last month.
Nicholas Anderson, 18, was arrested on Friday, January 6, by Orlando Police Department Gang Unit Detectives after a multi-week investigation into the death of Kevin King.
King was shot and robbed in an outdoor walkway at the Florida Express Hotel located at 6323 International Drive. Police say that King had just gotten off work around 2:45 a.m. before he was accosted and robbed for a “meaningless item.”

After the shooting King was hospitalized until December 23, when he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
A week after the homicide, investigators were able to identify and arrest one of the suspects, 19-year-old Briesha Williams, charging her with murder and robbery.
Authorities then obtained a warrant for Anderson on December 29. Anderson was apprehended a week later and, during an interview with police, confessed to the murder.
Police say that Anderson is also charged with discharging a firearm in public and possession of a firearm by a convicted delinquent in a separate incident that occurred on December 8 at the Home Suite Homes Extended Stay Suites (2801 East Colonial Drive).
Anyone with information about the suspects in question is asked to contact the Orlando Police Department at 321-235-5300, or the Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
