A 32-year-old man was struck and killed as he attempted to cross a roadway in Osceola County on Wednesday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place near the intersection of W Osceola Parkway and Images Circle on Tuesday, January 11, at around 7:48 p.m.
A 51-year-old Kissimmee man was driving a 2015 Mercedes Benz CLA 250 eastbound on W Osceola Parkway, approaching Images Circle in the inside lane.
A 32-year-old pedestrian from Guatemala was traveling northbound on Images Circle, approaching Osceola Parkway. The pedestrian continued through the intersection while not in a marked crosswalk, into the direct path of the Mercedes-Benz.
The driver attempted to but was unable to avoid striking the pedestrian.
The driver was not injured in the crash.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
