Pirate River Quest ride opens at Legoland

A new pirate-themed ride has opened for operation at Legoland Florida.

Pirate River Quest officially opened this week at the park, which is located in Winter Haven at 1 Legoland Way.

The new ride takes visitors on a LEGO ship to retrieve “lost treasure stolen by a troop of mischievous monkeys,” according to the company’s website. The park goes on further to detail the ride:

Journey through the uncharted waters of the legendary Cypress Gardens and discover the secrets protecting its canals, as this all-new story unfolds brick by brick into a family-friendly treasure hunt. Adventure awaits you at LEGOLAND® on Pirate River Quest

The new addition takes the park’s total number of attractions and rides to 55, including multiple other water-themed rides.

Opened in 2011, the park is 145 acres, which makes it the second-largest of its kind in the world behind only Legoland Windsor in the United Kingdom.
