Orange County investigators have released video of a shooting that claimed the life of a 39-year-old father and husband in hopes that the public may be able to identify those responsible.
Etson Faustin was killed on December 30 during a robbery at the Shoppes of Southland shopping mall located at 7400 Southland Boulevard.

On that day, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 4:56 a.m. and found Faustin and another man, who has not been identified due to Marsy’s Law, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The men were transported to the hospital, where Faustin was pronounced deceased.
On Friday, OCSO Homicide Detective Fabian Ramirez released video of the minutes showing before and shortly after the crime was committed.
According to Ramirez, a man in an orange shirt is seen entering a business in the plaza. A short time later, he exits the building, while both Faustin and the second victim remain in the vehicle.

The man walks over to a dark coupe and lingers around the vehicle before opening the hood.
At the same time, a man in a mask is seen crawling and hiding next to hedges that are located directly behind the parked vehicle of the man in orange and another vehicle belonging to the victims.
Faustin and the second victim exit the business and walk towards their vehicle. At that moment, the man in orange is seen closing his hood, which Ramirez believes was a signal to notify the man in the mask that the victims had exited the business and entered the parking lot.
The man in the mask emerges from the bushes and confronts the victims, while the man in orange enters his vehicle and begins to leave the parking lot. As the suspect is holding the victims at gunpoint, the man in orange witnesses the robbery and slowly leaves the parking lot in his vehicle.

After the victims hand over a bag, the suspect shoots each of them, fatally injuring Faustin.
