Police investigating death of woman in east Orlando in domestic violence altercation

Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of a woman who was found in east Orlando after calls regarding a domestic violence altercation.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3300 block of Royal Street in reference to a domestic altercation on Saturday, January 14, at 9:54 p.m.

Upon arrival, deputies found a woman in her 40s unresponsive. The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

A man in his 50s fled the scene and he was later arrested by police as the primary suspect in the case.

The investigation is ongoing.
