Judith Marie McDonald Stout

Judith Marie McDonald Stout passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 22, 2022. She was born October 18, 1933, in El Campo, TX to Norman and Sybil McDonald. She grew up in Port Arthur, TX and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1952. She then attended Port Arthur Business College and worked as a secretary at one of the local petroleum companies.

In June of 1954 Judy married her high school sweetheart Jerome “Jerry” Stout in Port Arthur, TX. After they were married, Jerry joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX, where their first child, Alisa Carol, was born. When Jerry was discharged from the Army their little family moved to Pampa, TX where they welcomed two more children, Lori Ellen, and Brian David.

Jerry’s work in retail earned numerous promotions and transfers. Over the years their family made many moves from Texas to Mobile, AL then to Boise, ID. Returning to Texas in the late 70’s. When Jerry left the retail business, he and Judy traveled throughout the US working together in the Liquidation business.

When the children were young, Judy worked as a secretary in a law practice. Later, she became a stay-at-home mom where she enjoyed cooking, sewing, entertaining. Judy was also involved with her children and all their activities. She was often found volunteering for the PTA, band, drill team, and sports activities. Judy also took a few stained-glass making classes. She made many beautiful pieces of stained glass that people still have in their homes today.

In the early 2000’s Judy and Jerry decided to retire and move to Orlando, FL to be near their kids, grandkids, and the beach. Judy and Jerry spent their days of retirement in the Orlando Gulfstream Harbor retirement neighborhood where they made numerous friends, enjoyed nights at the clubhouse and days in the pool. They loved being so close to their kids and grandkids to watch them all grow up. Judy’s beloved Jerry passed away in 2009 and Judy stayed in Florida where she continued her busy social schedule and leisure time at Gulfstream Harbor until her death.

Judy is survived by her brother William McDonald (Lubbock, TX), her 3 children, Alisa (Daniel) Villarreal, Lori (Johnny) Mazzone and Brian Stout, her 4 grandchildren and their spouses Nicole (Paul) Silliman, Blake Stout, Melissa (Layne) Vaughn and Connor Stout and her 2 great grandchildren, Jordyn Vaughn, and Knox Vaughn.
