Winter Park woman identified as victim in homicide, suspects at large

Police have identified the victim of a domestic altercation who was found dead over the weekend in Winter Park.

Loretta P. Harvey, 43, was found on Saturday, January 14, by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responding to reports of a domestic altercation.

On that evening, at around 9:54 p.m., deputies responded to the 3300 block of Royal Street and found Harvey unresponsive. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

At the the time of the incident, a man in his 50s fled the scene and was later arrested by police as the primary suspect in the case.

The investigation is active and ongoing, and no further arrests have been made in the case. Detectives are continuing to investigate who may have initiated the confrontation, and they are not releasing the name of the other party at this time.
