After retiring and moving to Westminster Towers in Winter Park, she became active at the Boutique. The profits of the Boutique go on to support those residents in need at the Towers. At first, she volunteered as a cashier, however her organizational skills enabled her to take over and organize the back room. Which is where donations to the Boutique were organized and made ready for sale in the Boutique. She made many friends and was greatly admired.

After Chris passed, she became a member of the Merry Widows of Waterbridge. Which is a support group of women throughout her neighborhood. She was a very supportive member – helping wherever and wherever she could.

Throughout her life she was greatly admired and looked up to for her advice and wise council. She will be greatly missed.
