David Gallagher 1674749089

On Friday, January 20th, 2023, David Hansford Gallagher was called home at the age of 53. The world has lost a great son, brother, and father.

David was born in Falmouth, Kentucky, on August 10th, 1969. He relocated to Winter Springs, Florida at 12 years old with his mother, father and family. David became an incredibly skilled musician at an early age and was the drummer for a local band named “The Goldminers” for quite some time. His greatest accomplishments in his music career included opening for Mark Chesnutt, Charley Daniels, playing alongside of the “Grateful Dead’s” artist Tom Constanten and other famous rock bands. His love of music defined who he was.

When he wasn’t playing music, you could find him somewhere along the St. John’s River fishing with his father and son or laying tile for his clients and friends alike. He was very loved by his family & friends and always eager to put a smile on anyone’s face.

David is survived by his mother Marilyn Gallagher, daughter Haylee Gallagher, son David J. Gallagher (Kristin), and his sisters Vicki Bishop (Rick), Cindy Ammerman (Gil) and Rhonda Tate (Billy). He was preceded in death by his father Hansford Gallagher.

Join David’s family for a memorial service on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, at 3:30pm. The service will be held at the Pavilion at Marina Island North Shore on Lake Monroe. Directly after the service, David’s family will be having a “celebration of life” with music & loved ones at The Sonora Clubhouse, from 5pm-9pm. David’s family asks that all who knew David come together to share warm memories and cherish his life with one another.
