A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Kissimmee on Friday morning.

The fatal accident took place near the intersection of Ponce De Leon Road and Bradley Drive on Friday, February 3, at around 5:55 a.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

A Toyota Highlander being driven by a 31-year-old Kissimmee woman was traveling south on Bradley Road when it turned right to travel westbound on Ponce De Leon Road. As it was turning, the SUV struck a pedestrian.

Police originally believed the incident was a hit-and-run crash before the driver returned to the scene and began cooperating with police.

No additional information, including the identity of the pedestrian, has been released in the incident.
