Heather K. Garrett – February 7, 2023, age 39, of Ocoee. Heather was born in Buffalo, NY, in July 1983 and moved to Grand Island, NY, in 1985. A resident of Central Florida since 1994, she graduated in 2001 from West Orange High School and attended Valencia College soon after. From 2000 to 2008, Heather worked at Publix as a cashier and in customer service. In 2008, she began her career at Walt Disney World at the Magic Kingdom, where she started as a pirate at Pirates of the Caribbean and then a maid at The Haunted Mansion, but soon became a Coordinator of Training. She became a legend and was known by all as the Pirate Queen.
Daughter to Kathryn and Thomas (married to Lourdes), beloved sister of Ian and Ryan. Also, surviving are her cats, Stu (18) and Miss Figaro (4). She was also the dog mom to the late Oliver.
Once upon a time, there was a blue-eyed woman with a joyous smile. She left an indelible mark. The happiness she brought to everyone she was around was incomparable. Her generous spirit and tireless efforts in life made a lasting impact on those around her. Heather’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched and loved. She had a great affinity for all things entertainment. Her favorite artist, Adele, she finally got to see live in Las Vegas only last month. Telling us, “No matter what else happens this year, it’s the best year ever!” She will be missed by all of her family, friends, and her Disney family.
