A 15-year-old Kissimmee boy was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike along John Young Parkway.
The fatal accident took place near the intersection of John Young Parkway and Ravenwood Lane on Tuesday, February 14, at around 8:04 p.m.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the boy was traveling east on Ravenwood Lane when he entered the southbound lanes of John Young Parkway and crossed in front of a 2018 Honda Civic being driven by a 27-year-old Kissimmee man.
As a result, the front of the vehicle struck the teenager. He was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle and the sole passenger, a 23-year-old Kissimmee woman, were transported to AdventHealth Kissimmee Hospital with minor injuries.
