Seminole County police believe a woman who was killed after she was struck by a vehicle on State Road 417 may have been attempting to commit suicide.
The fatal accident took place on Monday night near mile marker 50 on SR 417, according to Florida Highway Patrol and Seminole County Sheriff’s Office officials.
Limited information has been provided, but police say the woman walked into traffic and was struck by a vehicle.
The woman was unresponsive and in critical condition when she was transported to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital.
The roadway was closed for a brief period last night as investigators gathered information.
Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the crash and will provide more information when available.
