One juvenile has been arrested and two others are still at large in connection with multiple burglaries in a St. Cloud community.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, a string of burglaries and package thefts were reported in the Tohoqua community recently.
During their investigation, authorities received multiple photo and home surveillance videos from residents showing what appeared to be three juveniles, on bikes and scooters, roaming the neighborhood where the thefts were reported.
Officers remained at the scene overnight and, during the early overnight hours, they watched three suspects return to the neighborhood and burglarize a construction trailer.
A K-9 unit, drones, and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office STAR helicopter were deployed to catch the juveniles before they escaped.
One of the three male suspects was taken into custody and, on Thursday morning, that suspect provided information regarding the whereabouts of several of the stolen items. A search warrant was carried out and multiple items were recovered, including electronics and debit and credit cards.
The investigation remains open, with multiple charges pending. If you have any information on these incidents, or if you have been a victim of theft or burglary, contact the St. Cloud Police Department at 407-891-6741, or call the Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
