A Massachusetts-based pizzeria that imports its pasta from Italy is working on its first location in Orlando.
Piezoni’s is currently working on a new restaurant at 11895 S Apopka Vineland Road, marking the company’s third location in Florida.
The restaurant chain first got its start in Massachusetts, with its original location in Raynham. In the years since first opening, the company has expanded to eight restaurants in Massachusetts, ten in Rhode Island, and has three locations planned for Florida.
Piezoni’s menu features an extensive offering of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and its signature pizzas, calzones, and pasta dishes. In addition to Italian mainstays, the restaurant also features rice bowls, wraporitos, and fresh burgers.
All of Piezoni’s restaurants are locally-owned and operated and make use of fresh ingredients. The company began a series of initiatives in 2015 to bolster its commitment to fresh ingredients. That includes the use of never-frozen ground beef and all-white meat chicken raised in an antibiotic free environment. It also includes deli meats that contain no chemicals, preservatives, or fillers. Crusts are made fresh daily at each location.
The restaurant also uses pasta that is shipped in from Italy and GMO-free cheese that is shipped in from Wisconsin. The vine-ripened tomatoes used in the restaurant chain’s pizza and marinara sauces are purchased from California and are never made from paste or put in cans.
