The city of Winter Park is asking residents to help it name a new greenspace that is slated for a popular corner of Orange Avenue.
On Friday, Winter Park Parks and Recreation Advisory Board officials issued a statement seeking assistance to name the future park located at the corner of Orange Avenue and Denning Drive.
Beginning Friday, February 24, through Wednesday, March 8, city residents and businesses may access the Vote for New Park Name webpage to submit a vote. The name with the most votes will be considered by the PRAB for recommendation to the city council at a later meeting.
Construction of the new, 1.5-acre continguous parkland will begin this April, with completion expected in early 2024.
