An ice cream shop was forced to temporarily close its location at the Orlando International Premium Outlets last week after a failed health inspection.
Ben & Jerry’s, located at 4951 International Drive in Orlando, was forced to temporarily close its doors on Tuesday, February 21, after a health inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited at least eight violations.
According to the report, the inspector found that the business was operating with no potable water. After an order for ice cream was placed, an employee was observed not washing his/her hands before putting on gloves to initiate a task working with food.
Additionally, some ceiling tiles at the shop were soiled with accumulated food debris, grease, or dust. The light shield and an air conditioner vent were soiled, according to the report.
Records show that the business was reinspected on Friday, February 24, and was permitted to reopen with only three basic violations remaining.
