Teodocia Santana 1934 – 2023 – beloved Grandmother, Mother, and friend to so many people, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 25, 2023.
Teodocia Santana, 88 also known as “Mama, Abuelita, and Angie” was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic but later relocated to Puerto Rico where she managed her own business in the food industry for many years. Furthermore, moved to Bronx, NY in 1982 and later moved to Florida in 2006. Mama worked hard to make a life for herself in while in the United States. She poured all her love into each of her children the best way she knew by being selfless, honest, sacrificing just about everything to give her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren everything.
Mama worked tirelessly to put food on the table and to make sure her daughters, grandchildren, grandchildren and even friends filled their belly with some good Dominican food. As a wise and strong woman, she offered the family comfort and was our “compass” and the backbone of the family. Mama would help raise her grandchildren and help mold them to the people they are today. She’s known for her fierce, intimidating looks but most importantly her beautiful smile. Mama enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending quality time with her family. Mama is survived by her daughters: Paula Santana and Vivian Adames . Her grandchildren: Jose Delgado Santana Sr, Angie Acevedo Santana, and Alex Acevedo Santana Sr. Her Great Grandchildren. Joselynn Delgado, Cailyn Delgado, Alex Acevedo Jr Jose Delgado Jr, Jayden Perez, Roblé David, Raquel Acevedo, and Harlem Acevedo.
