A 23-year-old man who has allegedly started multiple brush fires in the DeLand area is being sought by local police.
The DeLand Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is asking the public for help to locate Liam Lee Marns in connection with multiple incidences of arson.
Police issued a felony warrant for Marns’ arrest earlier this week, charging him with two counts of criminal mischief.
According to police, Marns has been starting brush fires around the DeLand area. Those fires have caused damage to multiple properties.
Police say that Marns is a local transient in the DeLand area, with ties to Daytona Beach and Orange City. His current location is unknown.
Anyone with information about Marns, his whereabouts, or other incidents of arson that he may be responsible for, is asked to contact the DeLand Police Department at 386-626-7400.
