Avelino Dee passed away peacefully on February 26, 2023 at the age of 61. Born in Manila, Philippines to Sebastian Dee and Mary Ong, Lino grew up in a close-knit and loving family, the fifth of ten children.
During his formative years, he studied at Xavier School and graduated at the De La Salle University with a degree in Liberal Arts and Commerce. After graduation, he moved to the United States to pursue further studies at the University of San Francisco.
For many years, he worked in Los Angeles for a company supplying and exporting goods back to Manila. Ave to his friends, he shared many memorable adventures with them. He loved the outdoors, skiing, camping, playing mahjong.
Lino met his wife, Beth, in New York. Lino and Beth were blessed with a son, Adrian. The family eventually settled down in Central Florida where he worked alongside his wife in the healthcare industry. He was a caring father and a thoughtful husband, always providing for their needs.
Lino had many interests. Aside from his love of nature, he was a varsity swimmer. He loved to travel, was into photography, gardening and was an avid collector of all sorts of things.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Adrian, mother Mary, nine other siblings and their spouses, Susan and James, Jocelyn and Winston, Albert and Margaret, Andrew, Sandra and Alfred, Julie, Sally and Roberto, Alvin and Tricia, Anthony and Tish and many nieces and nephews.
Lino was dearly loved by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
A funeral mass will be held at All Souls Historic Chapel, 800 S. Oak Avenue, Sanford, Florida on March 11, 2023 at 1 PM.
