Our dearest Bal Raj Babbar was born on June 15th, 1933 in Arifwala, Punjab.
Papa was an India Academic Gold Medalist and was selected by the Indian Government for further nuclear studies in England. Upon returning to India, he worked at Heavy Electrical Limited on India’s developing nuclear power sector.
Papa emigrated to the United State in 1970 and became a US citizen thereafter. He worked on the design and
construction of nuclear power plants in the USA until he retired. Papa was a pioneer of our large extended family and was instrumental in bringing many family members to the USA.
Papa is survived by his wife, Kanta, his sons Ajay and Anil, his daughter-in-law Manju, his grandsons Amit, Vivek and Aaryan and his granddaughter-in-law Nikeeta. His only daughter, Sunita Singh, passed away in 2021.
Papa enjoyed his life with the family till the end.
