Sheryl Ann Love

On March 1, Sheryl Ann Love, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away from cancer. Born to Ruby and Ralph Foster in Franklin, PA in 1955, she moved to Pittsburgh after she graduated high school. There she met her husband Tom, and they married in 1979. Over the next 9 years, they welcomed their 5 children: Tommy, Diane, Sarah, Daniel, and Elizabeth. As a Navy family, they moved around regularly until finally settling in Central Florida in 1993. There she found her favorite spiritual community, the people of Tuskawilla United Methodist Church. She dedicated the majority of her life to her family and to being an integral member of that church body.

Sheryl will always be remembered for her loving and welcoming nature, acting as a “mama” to many more than just her 5 children. Her fellow church members regularly commented that she was a rock and a pillar of any groups she joined, and appropriately earned the nickname “Prayer Warrior” from her Women’s Bible Study group.

Her favorite time of year was Christmas when she would have her entire family with her, especially the Christmas Eve service at TUMC. She also loved the trips to the beach every summer, although it was always because it was another chance to be surrounded by her family more than anything else.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years Tom, her sister Diane Woods, her children and their spouses Tommy (Gary), Diane (John), Sarah (Michael), Daniel (Haley), and Elizabeth (Barry). She was “Mema” to 8 grandchildren who were the light of her life: Spencer, Lucy, McKenna, Tessa, Mikey, Miles, Joey, and Everett.

If you were one of the many who were touched by her special love and light, please join us for a memorial service at Tuskawilla United Methodist Church in Casselberry, FL on Tuesday, March 7 at 6pm.
