Gary William Beymer

Gary William Beymer, 78 of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away on February 20, 2023, with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with his illness.

Gary was born in Muncie, Indiana on January 10, 1945, the oldest child of Homer W. Beymer Jr. and Ruth M. (Lovett) Beymer. He graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1963 with a basketball scholarship to the University of Corpus Christi Texas A&M. Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in 1969 from the University of Corpus Christi Texas A&M.

After living in Texas, where he taught history and coached basketball, he moved back to Muncie. In Muncie, he built a career with Prudential Insurance Company. He later relocated to Florida, where he was co-owner of Beymer and Bond Investigations. He retired from that business in 1996 while living in Lake Mary, FL.

Gary was a loving husband and devoted father, who loved to spend time with his family. He had a giving heart and would make others feel special. Gary loved sports and was an avid golfer. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered by those fortunate enough to have met him. .

Gary is survived by his wife, Veronica L. Reddell, of Lake Mary.

Gary is also survived by his two daughters, Kristi Segall, (Brian), of Glen Allen, VA, Tami Powell, (Cedric), of Muncie, IN; three sons, Tim Wages, (Cassandra), of Shreveport, LA, Todd Wages, (Misty), of Tyler, TX, and Trent Wages, (Pam), of Rockdale, TX; one step-son, Christopher Reddell, (Korea); one brother, Ron Beymer, (Charlene), of St. Augustine, FL and sister, Sally Anderson, of Seminole, FL; 15 grandchildren, Siena Segall, Braden Segall, Ariana Segall, Evan Segall, Jordan Powell, Brittany Jackson, Colt Wages, Schuyler Kubiak, Bryce Wages, Mary Madeline Wages, Kamryn Wages, Audrey Wages, Caleb Wages, Payton Wages, Maci Nygard; 1 step-grandson, Alex Smith; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was also preceded in death by Joyce A. Beymer the mother of his two daughter’s. His parents Homer W. and Ruth M. Beymer and one grandson Austin Taylor Wages.

A celebration of life will be held on April 3, 2023, in Lake Mary, FL. An additional celebration of life will be held in Muncie, IN on June 17, 2023.
