Margaret Morlyne Burns

Margaret Morlyne Burns, 74, peacefully passed from this life on March 3, 2023. As strong willed and independent as she was, she bravely beat cancer earlier in life but tired of her fight with dialysis and the complications that came with it.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ and was raised most of her life in Hornell, NY. She was a 1966 graduate of Hornell High School (HHS).

She worked admin at Electro Protective, ADT, TYCO and Johnson Controls and was very proud of her many years of work, retiring at 70.

She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Gladys Burns, Jane Burns, brother, Gene, Thomas and Dennis Burns. She is survived by brother, David Burns, Tampa, FL, sister, Roberta Riggsbee, Lake Mary, FL, brother-in-law Farris Riggsbee and sister-in-law Mary Burns, Ormond Beach, FL. Six nieces and nephews, two great nieces and one great nephew. Also, many cousins, first, second and third.

Happiest at home reading a book or in front of the TV, viewing sports and news of which she always had an opinion. Margaret loved her family and the many animals she raised throughout her life. As per her request, there will be no services and burial will be private. Please remember Margaret in your own way.
