A 22-year-old Orlando man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection near SeaWorld.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place near the intersection of International Drive and Central Florida Parkway on Friday, March 10, at around 10:41 p.m.
A 41-year-old Port Orange man was driving a 2018 Ford Edge eastbound on Central Florida Parkway, approaching International Drive in the outside left turn lane.
The pedestrian was walking in a southerly direction and entered the eastbound lanes of Central Florida Parkway. According to the report, the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk and entered the direct path of the Ford.
As a result, the front of the vehicle struck the pedestrian. He was transported to the Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver and his passenger, a 17-year-old Port Orange woman, were uninjured in the crash.
