A 23-year-old man who was arrested twice for in the past four months for domestic violence incidents with his girlfriend, was arrested on Friday after allegedly shooting and killing her in the bedroom of a home shared by her grandmother, mother, and children.
Keyvon Daley was arrested by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Friday, March 10 in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Sierra Tikeshia Ashley Polson.
Polson was found dead from gunshots at her home on the 2500 block of Greenleaf Drive on Thursday, March 9. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died of her injuries.
According to an arrest affidavit filed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Daley and Polson had been dating for approximately six months. Daley was sharing a bedroom with Polson at a home shared by her grandmother, mother, sister, and three children.

Daley had been living at the house since before Thanksgiving of last year, and, according to police, was known to “drink heavily and was regularly aggressive towards Sierra Polson when intoxicated.”
On Thursday, the couple spent most of the day together and did not appear to be fighting. Sometime after 9 p.m., both left the house together and were gone for approximately twenty minutes. They returned home at around 10 p.m.
Upon returning home, Polson and Daley entered their shared bedroom together.
The two were together in the bedroom for approximately five minutes when Polson’s mother sent one of the children to put away a toy that he was playing with. As the child walked toward the shared bedroom, a loud bang was heard.
When Polson’s mother went to investigate the sound, she was met at the door by Daley, who tried to close the bedroom door and bar her access. The mother pushed her way into the room and saw Polson laying on the floor, unresponsive. She turned to Daley, grabbed his hair, punched him in the face, and yelled “you shot my baby,” before turning to check on her daughter.
Daley was the only person in the room with Polson at the time of the shooting. He attempted to leave the room and was grabbed by Polson’s mother, who noticed a small black handgun sticking out of his left front pocket. Daley pushed past her and rant out of the front door of the house.
While police were on the scene investigating the murder, Daley called Polson’s mother and inquired as to whether Polson was alright. When she told Daley that Polson had passed, he hung up the phone.
An affidavit for arrest was issued and within hours, Daley was taken into custody. Daley is charged with murder and is currently being held at the Orange County Jail.
