Minnie Lee Hall

Minnie Lee Hall, age 88 of Orlando, FL.; went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2023. Mickey was born on April 14, 1934 in Atlanta, GA.

In 1952 she married her childhood sweetheart, Suel M. Hall. Together they raised three children in the Central Florida area.

In her early life, Mickey was a homemaker but went on to become a masterful cake decorator and floral designer. She opened her own small business in the early 1980’s. Also during that time, she became active in the PTA at the local, state and national levels. She and her local PTA branch, as well as thousands of others throughout the State of Florida, met with state legislators and rallied for a rise in the drinking age limit. They were successful in their efforts and in 1985 it was increased from 19 to 21. Mickey went on to receive some of the highest PTA awards at all three levels. Although she never completed high school in her early years, she graduated with honors later in life. For the last ten plus years, Mickey has been a leader with the senior group at Church in the Son. Not a month would go by that she didn’t help organize their monthly luncheons by providing exquisite decorations and memorable programs for her fellow seniors. Mickey was a woman of strong faith. Those who knew her would agree that she was an angel among us.

Mickey is preceded in death by her husband Suel and her son Gregory. She is survived by her daughters Teresa Clark and Brenda Grooms (Brian); her grandchildren Dameon Hall (Mandy), Ryan Clark (Jessica), Heather Clark, Jasmine Grooms, Everlee Grooms, Cainen Grooms and Aubree Grooms; five great-grandchildren and numerous foreign exchange grandchildren across the world.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 17th, 1pm at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL. Mickey will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Highland Memory Gardens immediately following services. A reception will be held at the funeral home following services.
