Francis L. Nagy

SSGT Francis L. Nagy, age 92, and resident of Winter Park, Florida since 1971 passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Frank was born on July 22, 1930 in Roxton, MI to the late Joseph and Marie Nagy. He was raised in Hattiesburg, MS. The family moved back north to South Bend, IN after his father pass, where he joined the military. He retired from the US Air Force on November 1971, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, Korean Service Medals, U.N. Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea President Unit Citation Emblem.

After retiring from the Air Force, Frank worked for the Coca Cola Bottling in Orlando, FL, where he repaired vending machines. He then left to work for Orange County Public Schools Maintenance, retiring after 10 years. Then he started a commercial refrigeration repair business. He always said, “People would believe a lie, instead of the truth.”

He is preceded in death by his wife, Yoshiko Nagy.

He is survived by his son, Mark Joseph Nagy, son, James L Nagy, Daughter-In-Law, Margaret Nagy, Mother, Marie Nagy.

Francis was a husband, father, and patriot.
