A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the January murder of a man whose father coaches the Osceola High School football team.
Jaquari Walker was arrested on Wednesday, March 8, by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a warrant for armed robbery issued by the Kissimmee Police Department.
During an interview with KPD detectives while he was incarcerated, Walker admitted to his involvement in the murder of 30-year-old Eric Pinellas.
Pinellas was found injured from gunshot wounds at the intersection of Cypress Street and Bay Street on January 11, 2023. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
During his interview, Walker provided specific details about the crime that would only have been known by the suspect, according to police.
Walker is facing homicide and weapons charges and has been given zero bond.
Pinellas was the son of Eric D. Pinellas, the head coach of the Osceola High School football and track teams.
