Diane Stephanie Dier-Scheel

Diane Stephanie Dier-Scheel, age 71, of Maitland, Florida passed away after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at AdventHealth Orlando Hospital.

Diane was born on February 3, 1952 in Niagara Falls, New York, daughter to her late parents, Mr. & Ms. Carmella Boscarino. She was educated, trained and worked as a medical assistant early in her career and retired as a Workers’ Compensation agent.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard C. Scheel of Maitland; her daughter, Lisa D. Norman (Todd Norman); her son, Steven M. Dier (Ileanette Dier); six grandchildren, Bethany Penkala, Dylan Norman, Branden Dier, Ella Norman, Isabella Dier, and Bruno Dier; and a brother, Lawrence “Larry” Boscarino (LuRae Boscarino) of Hudson, Florida.

Diane was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a loving mother to Lisa and Steve, affectionate grandma, and a steadfast wife. In addition to Diane’s love of her family, she also had a special place in her heart for the many cats that were called family throughout the years. Let us not be sad at the untimely passing of our dear Diane but let us celebrate the time we were lucky enough to spend with her and embrace the lasting legacy she left behind. No matter the brevity of her time here on Earth, her impact on this world will be felt for years to come.
A funeral will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel).
Burial will follow at Queen of Angels Cemetery, 1901 Queen of Angels Drive, Winter Park, FL 32792.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves memories no one can steal. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we will miss you until we meet again.”
