Sanford man wins $1 million from $5 Monopoly scratch-off

A Sanford man claimed a $1 million prize through the Florida Lottery from a $5 scratch-off that he purchased in Volusia County.

On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced that Tyrone Bouie claimed a $1 million top prize from the $5 Monopoly Doubler Scratch-Off game at the lottery’s Orlando district office.

Bouie chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $798,985. He purchased the winning ticket from Conrad Mobil, located at 2600 North Dixie Freeway in New Smyrna Beach. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The Monopoly Doubler game launched in July of last year and features more than $132 million in cash prizes, including 12 top prizes of $1 million. The odds of winning the scratch-off are 1-in-3.98.
