Marvin Elton Faircloth

Marvin Elton Faircloth, long time resident of Apopka, passed away on March 12, 2023, at the age of 90.

Marvin was born on April 2, 1932, in Quincy, Florida to father, Robert H. Faircloth and mother, Mary Jane Rudd Faircloth. He was the 7th of 8 children, four sisters and three brothers who he loved dearly. He was a proud Air Force Veteran.

After his service, he moved to Tallahassee and attended Florida State University. He remained a lifelong Florida State Seminole fan. He moved to Apopka in 1958, where he started his career with Martin Marietta until entering the agricultural industry and eventually retiring as a corporate merchandiser. Later in life, he attended Liberty Bible College where he learned to express his faith in God and loved encouraging others in their walk with Him.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Quida Mae Jordan, Juanita Smith, Robert Faircloth Jr., Ralph Faircloth Sr., Margie Gunn, Shirley Gardner and Paul Faircloth Sr., and his great-granddaughter Marin Richardson. He is survived by his children, Rosalind Wincey (Gary), Gloria Kerlin (Mickey), Richard Faircloth (Emily), James Faircloth, Marianne Richardson (Rusty), John Faircloth (Michelle), Joseph Faircloth and Melessa Faircloth, 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
