A south Florida bakery that has been serving the community for over five decades will open its first locations in the Orlando area.
Vicky’s Bakery is currently working on locations at 4556 S Semoran Boulevard in Orlando and 1455 West Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park, according to the company’s website.
Founded in 1972 by Antonio and Gelasia Cao, the first Vicky Bakery opened in Miami. The family-run restaurant chain still uses the restaurants it created over 50 years ago.
The restaurant serves up a variety of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and a wide variety of pastries. That includes pastelitos, empanadas, and croquettes.
In addition to pastries and breakfast and lunch items, Vicky’s features dozens of different desserts that are made from scratch, including torrejas, cakes, donuts, rice pudding, and tiramisu, among many others.
Currently, there are twenty restaurants all around south Florida, with nine additional shops under construction.
No information has been released on the opening of the Orlando area stores, or their hours of operation.
