A 15-year-old and 16-year-old juvenile were arrested after they were caught by police in a car in Deltona with multiple types of drugs and a handgun.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on Saturday, March 18, at around 11:15 p.m. on Conway Drive in Deltona.
Deputies say they found a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old in a car with a collection of contraband, including a 9mm handgun, 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a bag of Psilocybin mushrooms, 17 Trazodone pills, THC concentrate, cartridges, and vaporizers, nearly 200 grams of marijuana, a knife, a digital scale, and $309 in cash.
Both juveniles were arrested and charged with possession of a weapon by a delinquent, possession of Psilocybin, possession of THC concentrate, possession of a new legend drug without a prescription, and possession of over 20 grams of marijuana with intent to sell. The 15-year-old was also charged with violation of probation.
Both individuals, who were not named by police due to their age, were transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice for processing.
