Montgomery, Barbara J. 4/26/1932 – 3/11/2023 Oviedo, Florida Barbara Jean Montgomery (Bolen), 90 of Oviedo Florida passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. Barbara was born April 12, 1932, in Flint, Michigan to Milton Ida and Lillian Bolen Upon graduation from Flint Central High School in 1950, she became a switchboard operator until her marriage to Robert Stuart Montgomery of Houghton Michigan in 1955.
She was a long time resident of Flint, moving to Grand Blanc, and then retiring with her husband in Oviedo, Florida. Barbara studied late in life as a nursing assistant and received a degree in business from Baker College in Flint.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter Valerie and husband Robert.
She is survived by her Brother Ronald (Marion) of South Gate, sons Robert of Oviedo, Richard (Rosemary) of Knoxville, and Russell (Rita) of Ormond Beach, five grandchildren (Marcie, Richard, Karolyn, Victoria, and Veronica), one niece (Melanie) she often referred to as a grandchild and her Siamese cat Charmin.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held this 24th of May 2023 at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint Michigan, where she will be interred next to her husband, daughter, and parents.
