A 43-year-old accused of murdering a man outside of a 7-Eleven in Orlando on St. Patrick’s Day was arrested as he exited a transit bus in Macon, Georgia.
Horace Conrad Davidson, Jr. was arrested last week in connection with the murder of 33-year-old Marquis Perez, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Perez was found at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Friday, March 17, after police received calls regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Perez suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by the Orlando Fire Department to AdventHealth East, where he was pronounced deceased.
In the days that followed, OPD Homicide Detectives identified Davidson as a potential suspect in the case. A warrant was obtained for his arrest and, through collaborative efforts from the OPD Fugitive Investigative Unit and law enforcement in Macon, Georgia, Davidson was arrested as he got off a transit bus from Florida.
Davidson is facing a charge of first degree murder with a firearm and is pending extradition to Orange County Corrections.
