A 24-year-old man is facing multiple drug charges after he fled police who attempted to stop him and crashed at a Deltona gas station.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign at Edgewater Condominiums in Deltona at 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 30.
The vehicle pulled into a nearby 7-Eleven and crashed into a trash can by a gas pump. The driver, who was later identified as 24-year-old Cameron Myles, exited the vehicle and tried to run away when police attempted to sit him against the vehicle.

Deputies caught Myles and took him into custody. As they stood him up, over $2,000 in cash fell out of his pockets. Police searched Myles’ pockets and vehicle and recovered 68 grams of cocaine, 37 pills of Oxycodone, 8 pills of Amphetamine, and 370 grams of cannabis. Police also recovered a total of $2,690.88 in cash.
Myles was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, possession of cannabis, three counts of possession of a Schedule II substance, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
Myles was transported to the Volusia County Jail. His bond was set at $41,000.
