Betty Wiggins Danforth, 72, of Orlando, departed this life on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Betty, affectionately known as Sunshine, was born in Shorterville, AL on August 26, 1950 to Vassie and Willie F. Wiggins Sr., who preceded her in death. She accepted The Lord as her Savior at an early age. Professionally, Betty was employed as a home health aide for several years. She was an active and dedicated member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Pine Hills.
Betty put God first in all that she did and she made sure her family knew who God was and how good God is. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, socializing, and caring for people. Betty was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way. God knew she served her purpose and decided to call her home on March 26th. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sunshine’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Daneille T. Danforth; sons, Warren Hawkins, Corey Danforth; brother, Mark (Carla) Wiggins; 1 granddaughter; a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church of Pine Hills, 6225 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Orlando with Rev. Dr. Richard Hammonds Jr., officiating.
