Jean Coffe Felix went to his heavenly home on Saturday April 1, 2023. Jean passed away peacefully with his beloved wife Josette by his side, grandson Matthew and friend Monique.
Jean was born in Haiti on July 21, 1946 to father Gracia Felix and mother Annicia Edouard Bernardin. The oldest of five siblings, Yves Derenocourt, Jean Claude Derenoncourt, Moreal Bernardin, Mryrlande Bernardin and Moravia Edouard Bernardin.
He was married to Josette on May 23, 1970 and lived in Brooklyn, New York to later buy a home in Providence, Rhode Island to raise his family and then retire in Haines City, Florida.
He is survived by his wife Josette Felix and five children Roger Adolphe, Garcia Felix, Woodley Felix, Marie Jean Felix and Wideline Felix, along with his daughter-in-law Lonise Adolphe. His fourteen grandchildren Christa Merolus, Matthew Adolphe, Jonathan Jouthe, Keisean Felix, Annicia Felix, Jasmine Paulemon, Randolph Placide, Shaheede Placide, Jessika Placide, Arturas Antulis, James Felix, Jamal Felix, Jamikay Felix, Ihona Sanchez. His in-laws Magalie Derencourt, Jacqueline Derenoncourt, James Jean.
He will be missed by his nieces and nephews Patrick Derencourt, Ricardo Derencourt, Jean Braddley, Gardith, Martine Derenoncourt, Danielle Derenoncourt, Jean Camille Derenoncourt, Michalle Derenoncourt, Estel Derenoncourt , Jennider Derenoncourt, Franky Derenoncourt, Faidhlene Derenoncourt, Jonathan Daphnis, Roselaure Christina Jean, Kayla Melissa Jean, Omari Celementson, Aoron Bernardin, Elisee Bernardin, Marcha Bernardin.
Jean was a successful craftsman in many trades. His skills were such that he could build an entire house from the ground up. He loved listening to music, cooking and spending time with family. His passion was to make sure his family was taken care of. To know Jean was to love him. He was a funny, vibrant, hardworking family man. He loved to make people laugh, dance and have fun.
Thank you all for the loving memories you shared. This is not goodbye, but see you later Jean. We love you always. Jean will be truly missed by relatives and friends.
A visitation for Jean C Felix is planned for April 14, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm. The visitation will be held at the Osceola Memory Gardens Poinciana on 3175 Pleasant Hill Rd Poinciana, FL 34746. All are invited to attend.
The funeral will follow April 15, 2023 at 11am at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church 3880 Pleasant Hill Road Kissimmee FL 34746. Burial Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery 1717 Old Boggy Creek Rd. Kissimmee FL 34744.
