Two British Premier League teams will play a match in Orlando as part of the league’s Summer Series later this year.
On Tuesday, The Premier League confirmed that it will host its first pre-season tournament in the United States in July, with six clubs traveling to take part in matches across the east coast.
A total of nine matches will be played between July 22 and July 30 at stadiums in Georgia, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
On Wednesday, July 26, Fulham will face off against Aston Villa at Exploria Stadium, which is located at 655 W Church Street in downtown Orlando. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. and is part of a three-game slate for the day, including matchups between Brentford and Brighton and Chelsea and Newcastle, both in Atlanta.
In addition to the tournament, the league is working with grassroots and community organizations in each city to create a program of community and youth soccer initiatives.
“We are delighted to be bringing six clubs to the USA in July for the first-ever Premier League Summer Series,” said Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters. “We are currently enjoying one of the most competitive Premier League seasons of all time at both ends of the table and I am sure we will see some thrilling matches during the tournament.”
Tickets for all matches will be available through pre-sale on Tuesday, April 25. General sale tickets will be made available on Wednesday, April 26.
