Dolores was more than a grandmother to me, she took me into her care from the very tender age of 6 months. She’d take me for half a year or more every year before I can start my first year of school. Every year after that she’d spend 9 -10 months at a time with me and only fly back to her country for 2-3 months during the school year so that I wouldn’t ever be alone.

Dolores was not only my grandmother but my friend, confidant, and the one who introduced me to my Christian faith. She helped saved me physically, mentally, and spiritually. She has helped many others come to know the lord and walk with the lord. Through her prayers, kindness, generosity, and pure soul she showed many what a woman of God should be like. She cared for so many people and children during her lifetime, she was the most amazing cook as everything she made was with love for others. She was a woman full of so much wisdom and faith in the Lord. I am almost left without words to describe her as they fall short to the true angel that she was. She was my grandmother, my example, and my hero. I will always love you and remember you until the end of my own life. Thank you for everything and thank you Lord for the gift and blessing she was in my life, my mother’s, as well as everyone else who knew her.
