A 19-year-old man was ejected and killed after striking an SUV that was attempting to make a U-turn in Osceola County.
The fatal accident took place on Friday, April 14, at around 6:43 p.m. near the intersection of N Old Lake Wilson Road and Teascone Road in Osceola County.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 48-year-old man from Mosinee, Wisconsin was driving a 2017 Cadillac XT5 southbound on Old Lake Wilson Road, just south of Teascone Boulevard in the outside lane.
The vehicle stopped on the right shoulder of the west side of the roadway and began to cross the southbound lanes in an attempt to enter the northbound, left turn lane to make a u-turn onto Old Lake Wilson Road.
As a result, the Cadillac entered the direct path of a Suzuki GSX Motorcycle that was being driven by a 19-year-old man from Kissimmee.
The front of the motorcycle hit the left side of the Cadillac and the motorcyclist was ejected from the vehicle.
The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the SUV and his passengers, a 70-year-old woman, 63-year-old woman, and 73-year-old man, all from Mosinee, were uninjured in the crash.
