Mildred Delores Fountain was born September 27, 1951 in Rochester, New York to Estalla Fletcher Fountain and Lacy Gilchrist, Sr. Mildred grew up in Sanford, Florida. She attended Crooms Academy. Mildred was a housekeeper for many years. She was a kind hearted woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
On April 6, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones, our Heavenly Father decided to call her home. She will be missed by her loved ones.
Mildred was preceded in death by her mother, Estalla Fletcher-Fountain and father, Lacy J. Gilchrist, Sr., her sister, Tamara E. Gilchrist and brother, Preston E. Gilchrist.
She leaves to cherish precious memories to her husband: Innocent Jeanbaptisle of Ft. Pierce, Florida; step-mother: Druecilla Gilchrist of Sanford, Florida; godchildren: Latifah Crayton of Deland, Florida and Joyce Brown of Deltona, Florida; stepson: Paul Innocent of Florida; Brothers: Lacy J. Gilchrist, Jr. (Jackie) of Sanford, Florida, Donnell Gilchrist (Cynthia) of Tampa, Florida, Kenneth Gilchrist (Patricia) of Minnesota, Jimmie Gilchrist (Mary) of Orlando, Florida, Derek Gilchrist of Deland, Florida and Keith Gilchrist of Orlando, Florida; sisters: Debra Strickland (Bruce) of Deltona, Florida, Hattie Mae Gilchrist of Sanford, Florida, April Gilchrist Johnson of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Chineta Yates (Steven) of Leesburg, Florida; one uncle: Rufus Gaines, Sr. (Jeanette) of North Carolina; two aunts: Helen Lawrence and Betty Gilchrist both of Sanford, Florida; mother-in-law: Celia Inneva; father-in-law: Massisu Jeanbaptisle, both of Haiti; sisterin law: Celvanie Delva of Florida; special cousins: Rufus Gaines, Jr. of Deland, Florida, Michael Gaines, Derrick Gaines and Briana Gaines all of Charlotte, North Carolina and Hazel Crayton of Sanford, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
