A fight that broke out between two homeless individuals left one of them dead on Colonial Drive.

Orlando Police Department units responded to the 3000 block of West Colonial Drive at around 3:20 a.m. after receiving calls regarding a battery in progress.

Upon arrival, police made contact with two individuals who were involved in a physical altercation. One of the individuals died from their injuries.

Police believe that the individuals are transients in the area, but no additional further information was provided about the incident.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the case.
