UPDATE: Mercedes Ventura has been found and is safe.
Law enforcement authorities are asking the public for help in locating a 70-year-old woman who has been missing out of her Orange County home since Thursday.
Mercedes Ventura was last seen around 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, walking away from her home on Loubet Street in east Orange County, near the area of Dean Road and East Colonial Drive.
Ventura stands 5’2″ tall, weighs 118 pounds, has brown eyes, and black and white hair. She was wearing a gray jacket, blue pants, and a blue bandana.
Ventura was carrying a large blue bag as seen in the pictures in this story.
Police say there is concern for Ventura’s well-being as she suffers from dementia.
